Poems

Lately a lot has been going on in my life. Change is part of it. During all of this though, I've been able to write some poems for you all to get a glance at what has been happening. Through my writing. Enjoy! More to come each time I get a chance.

Revive Your Children
Chorus:
I am Your child
Welcome me with an open hand
Show me around
With an open mind
This is my forever home
Father
With You
I am Your child

Verse 1:
I have been waiting for this day
I have sinned
I have lied
I have stretched the truth
But, never will I deny Your love
So revive me
Clean me

Chorus:
I am Your child
Welcome me with an open hand
Show me around
With an open mind
This is my forever home
Father
With You
I am Your child

Verse 2:
Never before have I lived
Though here with You I am
No one but myself
I will spill my heart out
Listen now

Chorus:
We are Your child
Welcome us with an open hand
Show us around
With an open mind
This is our forever home
Father
With You
I am Your child
Can't Say Enough
Verse 1:
I wake up
Get dressed
Then walk to the window
Rehearsing
Practicing
Rewriting

Chorus:
When I see You
Standing there
The words won't come
I just cant say enough about You

Verse 2:
Pour the tea
I sit down
Imagining
Planning
Planning my words for You
But

Chorus:
When I see You
Standing there in perfection
The words won't come to my mouth
I just can't say enough about You

Verse 3:
I try to speak
But You just take my breath away each time
My words are useless when I am with You
Let me take Your love
Share it with my brothers and sisters

Chorus:
When I see You
Standing there
The words won't come
I just can't say enough about You
Can't say enough, say enough

Verse 4:
Please take my hand
Fold yours over mine
Let me pray
Pray for eternity
God
You take my breath away each time
I try to speak
I just can say enough about You

Story Behind the Quotes

"The army you face with each day, is the army that you will win against with a heart full of hope and confidence within yourself and others" ~ Grace Miller
I was inspired to write this quote for many reason. The main one being that seventh grade was a nightmare in black and white. Through the tough times, teachers and counselors kept pushing me. One counselor really inspired me to write this, for the words he wrote in emails and said in person, made school easier.

“Losing hope in one is an unrevised and untouched paragraph, when encouraging and retaining hope and confidence in one is a famous published novel within” ~ Grace Miller
I guess it's in my blood, though I've always had a talent with words and description in writing. So this quote I'm sharing with you all, letting you know that God is with you, and your life is a novel being written out for you as you make decisions in life. My lesson I'm trying to teach is don't let your life be turned into an untouched paragraph. Always be editing, revising, and adding to your paragraph.

"Bravery is the soul key to unlocking the door to a world filled with unexpected adventures" ~ Grace Miller
Back to the subject of seventh grade, I really had to be brave. I was the spooky one. There were times where I didn't want to walk over the tarp, or down to the crevasse, or throw my water bucket down the well to fetch for this quote.
